He was ably supported by Kevin Higgins, who finished the night on 14 points in the Eagles’ 12-point win.The Nets went down fighting, though, as Hodyah Stewart played very well to top score for his side with 18 points.The opening match of the night saw Plaisance Guardians destroying the Vikings 97-50. Top scoring for the Guardians, and leading by example, was their skipper Terrence Daniels, who scored 22 points, and Nigel Bowen, who made a meaningful contribution of 20.Scoring for the Vikings in their losing effort was Leon Lee and Slayne Joseph, who both contributed 11 points.Play will continue at the same venue on Wednesday when Sonics come up against the Pacesetters in the U23 Division, and Eagles do battle with the Vikings in the Second Division league.The tournament is being sponsored by Banks DIH Limited through its Rainforest water and Malta Supreme Brands.last_img
