The chase began about 3:45 p.m. when officers saw the man driving erratically after running from the rear of a liquor store at Saticoy Street and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, said Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez. The driver struck a pedestrian at Millwood Avenue and Saticoy Street, Lopez said. The pedestrian was hospitalized with minor injuries, he said. The driver then crashed into a parked vehicle in the 7400 block of Kelvin Avenue, where police pursued the suspect on foot and eventually caught him at Cohasset Street and Gazette Avenue, Lopez said. last_img
