Additional Storylines: • Streaks at Stake: Central Arkansas and McNeese are both on six-game win streaks heading into their meeting, while Southeastern Louisiana and Sam Houston State are on five- and three-game streaks, respectively. • McNeese Defense: The Southland-best Cowboy defense has allowed just one touchdown in its last four league matchups. The team is coming off last Saturday’s game against UIW where the secondary returned four interceptions for touchdowns, tying a NCAA all-division record. • Return to Hammond: The No. 5/5 Bearkats take on Southeastern Louisiana on the road Saturday at 7 p.m. It is the first meeting between the two teams since Sam Houston State won 21-17 in their 2014 FCS Playoffs first-round clash. The Bears possess one of the most potent offenses in the conference, ranking third against league opponents in scoring (35.0 points per game) and yards per game (466.6). Meanwhile, the Cowboys rank as the Southland’s top defense by far, allowing just 12.6 points per game and 189.4 yards per game. UCA defense ranks second, allowing 330.6 yards per game.
